The combined competitive examination comprises following successive stages :
• The State Services Preliminary Examination for selection of candidates for Main Examination.
• State Services Main Examination (written Examination and Interview) for final selection of candidates for the various categories of services and post    

Preliminary Examination - (Objective Type)
In the Preliminary Examinations there will be 2 compulsory papers of 02 hours duration each. Both the question papers will have objective type multiple choice questions.
There will be five choices of answers for each question out of which one is to be selected.

There will be negative marking for wrong answer. 

Paper I - General Studies

Total Marks : 200 Marks




Number of Questions: 100

Duration: Two Hours

For each wrong answer 1/3 marks of marks will be deducted.

There shall be 50 Questions from Part-1 & Part-2 each Each Question will carry 2 marks.

Part-1 General Studies
Part-2 General Knowledge Of Chhattisgarh

02 Marks will be awarded for each right answer and for each wrong answer 1/3 marks of marks of correct answer will be deducted.

Paper II -Aptitude Test

Total Marks : 200 Marks

Number of Questions: 100

Duration: Two Hours

For each wrong answer 1/3 marks of marks will be deducted.

Minimum Qualifying Marks - In each Question paper essential qualifying marks for unreserved category will be 33% and 23% for reserved categories and handicapped candidates.
Second Question Paper - Eligibility Examination shall be of qualifying nature.
Marks obtained in this question paper shall not be added while preparing merit list for shortlisting of candidates for Main Examination.
Candidates shall be selected for Main Examination on the basis of meritlist of First Question Paper - General Studies.
Mains Examination and Interview - The examination plan for the main examination and interview will be published later.

The question paper  will be in Hindi and English both.
